The Perfect Day

Today was a great day. Nothing extraordinary happened; it was just over all good. I started out the day by having breakfast at my favorite place in the world, Kelly’s, with my cousin and Steve. After they left I went home and passed out in a food coma.

When I woke up I showered and set out to enjoy the beautiful weather and also to do some back to school shopping. The first three stores I went into had exactly what I wanted. Long sleeve shirts, hoodies, and thermal shirts. Not only did I find what I wanted but everything seemed taloired for me. It’s a rare occurrence that anything fits me the way I wanted so I was ecstatic that things I actually wanted fit me. I had a buying frenzy then enjoyed walking the long way home to bask in what maybe my last glimpse of sun until next May.

These are the types of day that are worth living.

I’m A Glutton for Punishment

I have no idea why I schedule myself for four days in a row. I have all sorts of hopes for “creative scheduling” where I have six day weekends and go gallivanting around the country. When the reality is today is day two of four and my legs are swollen, I’m exhausted, and my body hurts so much I can’t do anything but lie in bed.

Maybe this can be a wake up call, but I doubt it will be. I work four in a row in two weeks.

Hold On to Your Hats

Ryan came to visit this weekend. When Ryan comes usually good times are in store and this weekend was no exception. We went to Sam Adams Beerfest!

Hooray for beer!

Beerfrest is the only place I know where you can get free hats and drink beer at 1pm.

We love our free hats!

By 3:00 we were all drunk and walked home across the park to Charles’ apartment where we passed out until it was dinner time in the North end. It was a good day.

An Explosion of Sound

My computer has recovered from its laryngitis and sound can once again fill my room. Apparently some setting on my computer had been changed to ‘mute’. Steve spent one morning digging through my computer settings to fix my problem. I suspect that, seeing as I had no idea what switch was set to mute, it was not me who changed it but some pesky download or virus. Either way if you need me I’ll be rocking out in my room.

Being an Adult Rocks!

I like how I can justify some decisions with the argument “I’m an adult and I can do what I want.” I then used that reason to justify a dinner of half a batch of raw cookie dough last night.

It’s Official

Exactly one year ago today Steve and I decided to start dating each other.

We clean up nicely

One year is the longest I have ever been in a relationship and I must say that I’m a little freaked out by it. Luckily Steve is also my best friend so he helps me work though my freak outs.

Life is good.

One More

As I mentioned before I went to my last wedding of this summer last weekend. My cousin Paul married long time squeeze Beth in New York.

She can totally be on our Family Feud team!

I'm excited for the new member of the family.

In other news if you drink six-plus glasses of wine at a wedding you look like this:

That's not red eye from the camera, that's the way my eyes looked.

I Blame the Funky Chicken

I just got back from the third and final wedding of the summer. I never really wanted to get married but after going to all these weddings something clicked inside of me. I turned to Steve in the car and said “I hope we get married soon.” I have no idea why I said that, and I don’t even mean it. I think I just want a sweet cash out from Bed Bath and Beyond.
