Registered Nurse

I know it’s a bit nerdy but I still get excited when I sign my name “Maria E. Hansen R.N.” on charts. I feel like I actually accomplished something very important.

When I worked at Mayo I would be slightly jealous of the nurses who had R.N on their name tag. I would think “yeah, one day I will have the R.N. behind my name too.” Now I do. It’s weird that a name tag can make you feel proud.
