A Remembrance

A patient that we had in the hospital with us for four months died last week. I never took care of her, but she was a staple on the floor. It’s weird to walk past the room she inhabited for so long and not see her in there. Everyone at work was sad, a lot were crying.

A few days after her room was filled with new patients and life went on. I guess that’s how it goes in the hospital. More people get sick, we take care of them, some get better, and some don’t. I think the most important thing I can do to honor her, is remember her.
